1. BACKGROUND
Nasarawa State Government (NSG) has entered into a tripartite Joint Venture Agreement with the family Homes Funds Limited (FHFL) and Federal Mortgage Bank in Nigeria (FMBN), to implement the Nasarawa Housing Programme (NHP) which is aimed at developing 2000 units of affordable mass housing across the state. This also in line with State’s vision to be among the top three most competitive states in Nigeria by 2023, in terms of sustained accelerated growth, increased economic opportunities, and improved lives of its citizenry, as enshrined in the Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy (NEDS). In addition to providing affordable mass housing for people of the state, the project also aims to create jobs and kick-start a building materials manufacturing hub.
