The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received a loan of US$60 Million equivalent from the International Fund for Agricultural development (IFAD) toward the cost of the Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprise Project- Niger Delta (LIFE-AD), and intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for Goods, Works and Consulting/Non-Consulting services to be procured under this program. As the crisis has persisted, Mercy Corps’ strategy has also expanded to address the root causes of the conflict and seek to build the long-term resilience of communities with integrated programs focusing on governance, the recovery of markets and livelihoods, social cohesion and social protection, youth empowerment, and local conflict management.
