PREQUALIFICATION FOR CONCESSION OF TOWING OF VEHICLES AT MURTALA MUHAMMED INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, LAGOS

1. INTRODUCTION
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has the statutory functions of developing and managing all necessary airport facilities and services for safe, secured and efficient carriage of passengers and goods. The commercial policy on Towing Services stated that”To ensure efficiency and effectiveness, management contractors shall bid for the towing concession and award should be based on facility, personal and proven competence”. In compliance with the National Open Competitive Bidding (NOCB) procedures stipulated in the Public Procurement Act 2007 and its extant guidelines, the Authority now seeks the service of qualified/competent Towing company to submit Expressions of Interest for the concession of Towing vehicles at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja under its 2024 financial year.

The Johns Hopkins University Centre for Communication Programs (JHUCCP), Baltimore, USA, the implementer of The Challenge Initiative NextGen Project (TCI) Nigeria Hub under the auspices of the Johns Hopkins Public Health in Nigeria Initiative (JHPHINI) based in Abuja has received funding to implement Family Planning/Reproductive Health interventions in Nigeria from 2021 to 2025. This project works with the Federal and State Ministries of Health in 22 states and spans each of the major geographical zones in the country.

The Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has received a credit financing from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of Bauchi State Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid landscapes (Acresal) project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for the procurement of 20 tractors for 20 local Government Areas of the State and procurement of flood & & Erosion Prevention/Control Heavy Trucks ( 1 wheel loader, 1 excavator, 1 Bulldozer, 1 Backhoe Loader, 4 Tipper Trucks and 1 low bed Trucks by the Bauchi State Agro Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ARESAL) project.
