Food fortification, in which essential micronutrients are added during food processing, has been widely identified as a cost-effective strategy for addressing micronutrient malnutrition at scale. Undernutrition can lead to lifelong consequences, increasing the risk of impaired physical and cognitive development, and of diminished productive capacity. TechnoServe’s (TNS) Strengthening African Processors for Food Fortification (SAPFF) project takes a holistic approach to addressing this challenge by working to strengthen the enabling environment that promotes the competitive, healthy and effective production of fortified foods.

PROJECT TITLE: OPERATIONALIZATION OF NASARAWA STATE INFRASTRUCTURE FUND

1. BACKGROUND
Nasarawa State seeks to enhance its infrastructure stock for improved competitiveness, and the overall achievement of the objectives of the Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy. This is in line with the States vision for being amongst the top three most competitive states in Nigeria by 2023 in terms of sustained accelerated growth, increased economic opportunities, social inclusion and improved quality of lives of the citizenry. It is in furtherance to this, that a Nasarawa State Infrastructure, and de-risk infrastructure investments in the state.

2. The Nasarawa State Infrastructure Fund (NSIF) is established pursuant to the Nasarawa Investment Development Agency Act, which also specifies its powers, legal characteristics and policy objectives. The core objective of the NSIF is to enhance the development of Nasarawa State Infrastructure sector

3. Further to the above, the Nasarawa State Government is desirous of operationalizing a Nasarawa State Infrastructure Fund and therefore invites credible firms to send in their Expressions of Interest. Specifically, the state government seeks private sector innovation, and efficiency in the overall setup of the NSIF.

4. Interested eligible firms, consortium of firms, or associations of eligible firms shall provide information on their experience and capacity, while demonstrating their ability to deliver the objectives.

BACKGROUND
Jhpiego Corporation, an affiliate of John Hopkins University, is an International non-profit, non-governmental organisation that works to improve the health of women and families throughout the world.

Jhpiego Corporation is seeking for reputable vendors for the supply of the various categories of Kits listed below, to be supplied and delivered to its Abuja and state offices. Vendors are encouraged to read the entire document to ensure that they have a clear understanding of Jhpiego requirements before submitting bid.

1.1 ITEM DESCRIPTION:
GBV Survivors, Adolescent Girls and PMTCT Clients Kits for health facilities and pregnant women.
TOTAL QUANTITIES OF KITS REQUIRED:
• 600 sets of Dignity Kit
• 103 sets of Delivery Kit
• 500 sets of Mama Kit
• 600 sets of Menstrual hygiene Kit

Vendors are solely responsible for ensuring that each kit contain the exact quantity of Items, Well stocked and packed in durable delivery bags. Successful vendors will provide sample of bags for vetting by Jhpiego, while Jhpiego will provide sample of branding material (e g, logo) to be put conspicuously on each bag.
