Terms of Reference (summary):
The International Trade Centre (ITC) is supporting the Commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in implementing the European Union funded West Africa Competitiveness Programme. The programme aims to support a number of selected value chains at national and regional level to promote structural transformation and better access to regional and international markets, while taking into account social and environmental concerns. Its objective is to strengthen competitiveness of West African countries and enhance their integration into the regional and international trading system. One of the specific activities of the programme envisages providing relevant current market information to companies in the ECOWAS region that operate in the selected sectors of cassava, mango, information and communications technologies, and textiles and clothing.
