1.0 INTRODUCTION:
The MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, KADUNA STATE is pleased to announce a call for expression of research interest to build on the gains in the education sector. Many reforms have been undertaken in the education sector by the administration of Malam Nasir Ahmad El‑Rufai, including restructuring of the educational system, increase in annual budgetary provisions, replacement of 20,000 unqualified teachers with 25,000 qualified teachers, building of additional schools and classrooms, provision of free feeding and free uniforms etc.

1.BACKGROUND
Jhpiego Corporation, an affiliate of John Hopkins University, is an international non-profit, non-governmental organization that works to improve the health of women and families throughout the world. Jhpiego is in the process of pre-qualification of vendors for the provision of various categories of goods and services as shown below.

Vendors in Ebonyi, Ondo, Rivers, Lagos, Oyo, Cross Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Nassarawa, Kano, Bauchi, Edo, Minna and Adamawa states and Abuja who are interested in the under listed categories are encouraged to express interest. Vendors should express interest in the category relevant to your organization. Vendors cannot express interest in more than one lot.

REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS FOR THE SUPPLY OF SMARTPHONES

The West African Power Pool have received financing from the World Bank, for implementation of the WAPP North Core/Dorsale Nord Regional Power Project. The North Core Project, as implementation agency, intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments under the contract for Supply of smartphones for its Central Office Project Management Unit (WAPP-North Core -PMU) at Maitama, Abuja.

The goods with all its related services shall be procured through the procedures specified in the World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (July 2016 revised November 2017and August 2018).

The WAPP North Core Project now invites Bids from eligible Bidders for the supply of 14 smartphones as described in the RfQ document.

The deadline for submission will be: November 3, 2020 at 11:00AM through email. The opening will take place the same day at 11:30AM by virtual meeting. The online submission and opening procedures are precised in the RfQ document.

Interested bidders have to send an email to: procurement@wappnorthcore.org, with the following subject: WAPPHONES, to request the RfQ document.
