INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS FOR 132/33KV TRANSMISSION LINES & SUBSTATIONS REHABILITATION PROJECTS AND SUPPLY OF EQUIPMENT

1.0 INTRODUCTION
(1.1) Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has received a CREDIT facility from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for Accelerated Transmission – Distribution Interface Projects to invest in the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN)’s rehabilitation and expansion projects.

2.0 SCOPE OF WORKS
(2.1) LOT/KEDC/LINES/1
(2.1.1) Stringing of 2nd circuit with 250mm2 conductor of the existing 132kV Katsina-Daura Double Circuit transmission line. (90kM).
(2.2) LOT/KEDC/LINES/2
(2.2.1) Reconductoring of the existing 132kV Kumbotso – Dakata Single Circuit transmission line (18kM).
(2.3) LOT/KEDC/LINES/3
(2.3.1) Reconductoring of the existing 132kV Kankiya – Katsina Single Circuit transmission line (70km).
(2.4) LOT/KEDC/SS/1
(2.4.1) Completion of work on 2X40MVA, 132/33kV power transformer at Walalambe 132/33kV Substation and
(2.4.2) Installation of additional 2x33kV feeder bays at Dan-Agundi 132/33kV Substation.
(2.5) LOT/KEDC/SS/2
(2.5.1) Installation of additional 60MVA 132/33kV transformer at Wudil 132/33kV Substation.
(2.6) LOT/KEDC/SS/3
(2.6.1) Supply of:
2.6.1.1) 2 No 150/165 MVA, 330/132/33kV Power Transformer
(2.6.1.2) 2 No 100/125 MVA, 132/33kV Power Transformer
(2.6.1.3) 2 No 60/66 MVA), 132/33kV Power Transformer
(2.6.1.4) 1 No. 60/66 MVA, 132/33kV Mobile power transformer.

3.0 DOCUMENTS FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION (NIGERIAN COMPANIES ONLY)
(3.1) Suitable Nigerian Companies are invited to participate in the prequalification exercise by submitting the following pre-requisite requirements:
(3.1.1) Certificate of Incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria with forms C02 and C07.
(3.1.2) Company Profile, including, specifically,
(3.1.2.1) Populated organizational structure and key professional staff with relevant experience on high voltage power lines and substations.
(3.1.3) Current Tax Clearance Certificate for the past three Years valid till Dec. 2019
(3.1.4) Three years Company Audited Financial Statement for the period of 2018 – 2020 duly stamped by a registered Audit firm.
(3.1.5) PENCOM Compliance Certificate valid till 31st December 2021.
(3.1.6) Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Compliance Certificate Valid till 31st December 2021.
(3.1.7) Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Compliance Certificate valid till 31st December 2019.
(3.1.8) For Joint Venture Partnerships, the Joint Venture agreements must be signed by all the parties, a copy of which must be attached.
(3.1.9) A notarized affidavit disclosing whether or not any officer of the relevant Committee of KEDCO or TCN is a former or present Director/ Shareholder of has any pecuniary interest in the bidder and to confirm that all information presented in the bid are true and correct in all particulars.
(3.1.10) All Documents for Submission should be transmitted with Company covering letter bearing among others, Company Registration number (RC), Contact Address, Telephone Number (GSM Number), E-mail address.
(3.1.11) The cover letter must bear the name of the Director of the Company at the bottom of the page and duly signed by the Authorized Officer of the Company.
