Jesuit Refugee Service is an International Non-Governmental Organization that exists in over 54 countries of the world, with a mission to accompany, serve and advocate for the rights of refugees and forcibly displaced persons. JRS prioritizes working wherever the needs of refugees and internally displaced people are urgent and unattended.
In Nigeria, JRS offers a wide range of rehabilitation and relief services, focusing on protection, health, Education, Livelihood, psychosocial support, and mixed solutions for IDPs, forcibly displaced persons, returnees, and Host Communities. Through community and school based peace building initiatives, JRS utilize mediation mechanisms and workshops to encourage and foster reconciliation to move away from violence.
