INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR THE ENGAGEMENT OF FRANCHISE COMPANIES FOR THE MONITORING OF HEALTH FACILITIES IN LAGOS STATE
1. BACKGROUND
The Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) was established by the Health Sector Reform Law 2006 with the mandate to improve the quality and efficiency of health care services to residents of Lagos State. Specific functions of the Agency are highlighted below:
(1) Set the required minimum standards for the operations of public and private health facilities in Lagos State;
(2) Accredit, inspect, monitor and license all health facilities;
(3) Evaluate performance based on set standards by carrying out at least a monitoring visit twice a year to a health facility;
(4) Coordinate the collection and dissemination of data on performance indicators;
(5) Process applications for registration submitted to the Agency by any person;
(6) Inspect the premises to be registered and collate all necessary information on registered health facilities in the State.
