The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has applied for financing from the International Development Association (IDA) for funding sustainable capacity building in Nigeria in the fields of Procurement, Environmental Standards and Social Standards through the funding of Centers of Excellence (CE) in Nigerian Federal Universities (The Project). The National Universities Commission (NUC), the (Implementation Agency) intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payment under the contract for the Consultancy Services for the Engagement of Independent Verification Agent (IVA) for the Sustainable Procurement, Environmental and Social Standards Enhancement (SPESSE) Project.

1. The ECONOMIC COMMUNITY OF WEST AFRICAN STATES (ECOWAS), in the framework of the execution of its 2021 Budget, intends to apply a portion of the budgeted funds for the Selection of an Individual Consultant to Serve as a Procurement Officer, for the ECOWAS Regional Stabilization and Development Project.

2. Under the supervision of the Head of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) and the Head of ECOWAS Procurement Division, the consultant will have the responsibility of managing the daily procurement activities of the project, from the request to the delivery of goods and services and provide any other support to the PIU as required, in the implementation of the project’s work programme.
