PROCUREMENT OF CONTRACTOR FOR THE CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE DRILLING AND COMMISSIONING OF GROUNDWATER MONITORING BOREHOLES IN 6 STATES
REFERENCE NO: NG-NEWMAP-FPMU-165878-CW-RFB.

1.The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing.

2.The Federal Project Management Unit (FPMU), Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (FPMU-NEWMAP) on behalf of Federal Ministry of Environment now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for:

The Drilling and Commissioning of Groundwater Monitoring Boreholes within a period of 2 months

Qualification Criteria:
To be eligible for the contract, bidders must meet the following criteria:
a.Have a general experience in Geological survey and drilling of borehole of at least five (5) years.
b.Have a minimum of One (1) similar contract of at least that have been satisfactorily or substantially at 80% completed as prime contract between January 1, 2015 and the submission deadline. The qualifying contractor must be in works related to the assignment.
c.Minimum average annual turnover in construction works of at least following amounts in the last Five (5) years:

RADIO CONTENT PRODUCER (CONSULTANT) FOR BUSINESS & MARKET INFORMATION FOR WOMEN AND YOUTH ENTREPRENEURS AND SMALL-SCALE BUSINESSES IN BAUCHI STATE

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Nigeria WAY Project Summary MEDA’s Youth Entrepreneurship and Women’s Empowerment in Northern Nigeria project (Nigeria WAY) in Bauchi state is a five-year project that aims at assisting poor, economically active women and youth to increase their income, specifically, those who are involved in agro-processing in the rice, soybean, and groundnuts value chains. Using a private sector approach, MEDA Nigeria works with small scale businesses particularly those led by women and youth, to ensure that they are included in the market system, supporting agro processing with smart incentives. Additionally, the project will work with communities and families to improve the environment where girls grow up and join the market economy.

OBJECTIVE:
MEDA Nigeria WAY requires a Consultant to be a Content Producer to provide up to date and well informed market and business information across a variety of agro-processing activities to/for small entrepreneurs (ENs.) and Small-Scale Businesses (SSBS) particularly women and youths in rice, groundnut and soybeans. To increase the demand for more women voices and information agent in these value-chains and increase their market knowledge of prices, location, volume, and products available. The Consultant will be responsible for story boarding the content and other radio programming, developing the content and seeing it through from pre-production to post-production.

Content to be developed during the period of this contract:
1.20 Minutes Market Information Programme and 40 minutes of interactive live business information segment (total of 60 minutes).
2.A 3-minutes infomercial on safety and health practices for women agro-processors.
3.3 minutes Fuel efficient stoves campaign – multi radio products to advocate for eco stoves which use less wood and alternative briquettes
